article imageReview: Mike Posner delivers on new poetry book 'Tear Drops and Balloons' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Apr 4, 2017 in Music
Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Mike Posner has released his new book of poetry, "Tear Drops and Balloons," and it is impressive.
It came out on March 17 via Youniverse Publishing, and it is comprised of 104 pages. Posner did a brilliant job writing the poems, as well as doing the drawing. Sean Hagwell was able to paint a vivid picture thanks to his exceptional photography. The singer-songwriter did not hold anything back on this honest book of poetry, and it helps us learn more about the musician on a more intimate level. It covers a wide range of topics including sex, love, death, drugs, insecurity, fame and even hate mail, in the form of mean tweets. It is raw, authentic and unflinching; moreover, it allows Posner to share his viewpoint with the rest of the world. It is a must for any Mike Posner or poetry fan, and it garners an A rating.
Digital Journal chatted with Mike Posner about his new book of poetry, and "I Took a Pill in Ibiza," which earned him a 2017 Grammy nomination for "Song of the Year."
Tear Drops and Balloons is available for purchase on Amazon and on its official website.
