Review: Michael Ray delivers on new country single ‘Get to You’ (Includes first-hand account)

Ray maintains solid control over his voice on this tune, especially on the soothing parts of the chorus. The song is climbing up the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, where it moved up two spots this week to No. 42.

“Get to You” fared well when Ray sang it live at the Pennysaver Amphitheater on Long Island this summer, for the “Guys with Guitars Under the Stars” show.

The Verdict

Overall, Michael Ray’s “Get to You” is another keeper. Although, it may be a bit slower than his previous radio singles, he is able to form a strong connection with his listening audience thanks to his rich, baritone vocals, which are country to the core. Well done Michael! “Get to You” garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.

“Get to You” is available on iTunes, and on Spotify.
