It opens on an optimistic note with the infectious “I Believe in You,” where his baritone voice is honey-rich. “It is followed by My Kind of Girl,” which has a big band vibe to it, as well as the laid-back title track “Nobody But Me.”
“On an Evening in Roma (Sott’er Celo de Roma)” is a controlled performance by Bublé, showcasing his rich, baritone voice. “Today Is Yesterday’s Tomorrow” is equally inspiring and optimistic as the opening tune. In the piano-driven “The Very Thought of You,” the listener can recall the late Frank Sinatra.
“I Wanna Be Around” is witty in a vengeful way. Meghan Trainor lends her bubbly vocals on “Someday,” and the result is a sweet collaboration. It closes with “My Baby Just Cares for Me,” where he tips his hat to Nina Simone, as well as the emotional piano-driven ballad “God Only Knows,” which is difficult to listen without the Kleenex nearby.
His new album is available on iTunes.
