Review: Martin Garrix mesmerizes on new electronic track ‘Pizza’ (Includes first-hand account)

He closed his August 14 Tomorrowland set with this song, and it instantly garnered a tremendous response from fans and electronic music listeners from all over the world. It is evident the track was meant to be an anthem for his arena shows.

“Pizza” is the follow up to his singles “Scared To Be Lonely,” where he collaborated with Dua Lipa, and “There For You,” his collaboration with Troye Sivan.

As the summer of 2017 comes to a close, Garrix will wrap up his Ibiza residencies this September, and he will get ready for Amsterdam Dance Event, where he will host another two concerts at Amsterdam RAI, which includes a show for all-ages.

The song’s music video is neat and it features Garrix eating a slice of pizza towards the end. Garrix is on fire and shows no signs of slowing dance anytime soon.

The Verdict

With a song of this caliber, Martin Garrix deserves to stay the No. 1 DJ in the world, in the forthcoming DJ Magazine ranking, for a second consecutive year. His presence was everywhere in the electronic scene, and his commercial success is too big to ignore. “Pizza” is another smash hit, that garners an A rating.

“Pizza” is available on iTunes and on Spotify.
