New York City - On November 6, international tenor Mario Frangoulis headlined the Rose Theater, as part of Jazz at Lincoln Center, in the heart of New York City.
This concert was produced by Beautifulthings Productions in association with Attila Glatz Concert Productions. Tony-winning actress Frances Ruffelle served as his special musical guest.
Frangoulis was able to sustain the audience's attention throughout the whole evening, and he left them wanting to hear more. Some of the highlight performances included the versatile "Vincero Perdero," which was an expressive, emotional and captivating vocal, as well as the sultry and mid-tempo "Luna Rossa"; moreover, his interpretation of "Hijo de la Luna" was emotional yet exquisite. Most importantly, the Greek-American tenor proved to be one true song stylist, who is able to tell convincing stories with his music.
"Mario Frangoulis represents the best of Greece. A powerful classical crossover tenor that bridges cultures through his music with impeccable talent and heart, promoting Hellenism and supporting philanthropy," said Aspasia Katerinis, a soprano in the Pancyprian Choir of New York, who was present at the concert.
