It opens with the mid-tempo, witty and fun “Best Ex Ever,” and he continues with the spitfire and sassy “Rob You Blind,” which has a Brantley Gilbert vibe to it. The two opening tracks instantly sustain the country listener’s attention, and leaves them wanting more.
He slows down the pace of the EP with the ballad, “Messin’ with My Mind,” where his baritone vocals are reminiscent of his brother, fellow country star Lee Brice. “Outta My Head” is one of the best tracks on the album, due to its stunning instrumentals, featuring killer electric guitar riffs.
The collection closes with yet another mid-tempo tune “Still with You” and the laid-back, fun, drinking tune, “Alabama.”
The Verdict
Overall, Lewis Brice has released a solid self-titled EP. It is evident that musical talent runs in Lewis’ family. This EP garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
