article imageReview: Lazer Lloyd delivers on new 'Freedom's Child' album Special

By Markos Papadatos     Oct 28, 2017 in Music
Singer-songwriter and guitar virtuoso Lazer Lloyd has released his new studio album "Freedom's Child" on September 29, via Lots of Love Records.
It opens with the haunting and crisp "Blessed Man," and it is followed by the bluesy ballad "Been Tryin," and he picks up the pace with the mid-tempo "Talk."
The title track "Freedom's Child" is autobiographical, which has a Johnny Cash meets Steve Earle vibe to it, and it is followed by "God Money and Women" and the harmonica-driven "Letters."
"All Along the Watchtower" features his rich, baritone voice, while "America" contains more political lyrics. Lloyd picks up the pace once again with "Good Woman."
After the haunting acoustic ballad "My Girls," it closes with the lengthy "Esqueca Do Mundo (Forget the World)," and yet another ballad of faith, "We Are All God's Children."
On October 29, Lazer Lloyd will be performing at Black-Eyed Sally's in Hartford, Connecticut.
