Aside from John Berry, this music video features such esteemed artists from such genres as country, rock, bluegrass, blues and gospel. These musicians include John Oates from Hall & Oates, John Cowan from The Doobie Brothers, Keb Mo, Heidi Newfield from Trick Pony, Chuck Jones, blues singer-songwriter Casey James (from American Idol), country veteran Collin Raye, Bryan White, and Dave Innis and Paul Gregg from Restless Heart, among others.
The moving song “All Come Together” was derived after a writing session between John Berry and acclaimed songwriter Chuck Jones in Nashville. Berry noted that everybody wants to help out in some way, and they wanted to raise awareness on the cause. “There are a lot of people who are going to need help for a long time,” the country crooner said. “We hope people will donate to Samaritan’s Purse to help the cause.”
After they penned the song, they recruited many of their fellow musician friends, who were more than happy to donate their voice to this cause that affected the Hurricane victims in Texas and Florida. The recording process of this song was filmed in its accompanying music video, which may be seen below.
All of the proceeds from the song benefit the storm victims that were affected by Hurricanes Irma and Harvey. It will be available for download on iTunes and on Amazon in the next two weeks. In the meantime, the country stars are encouraging the public to help the cause by donating their time or funds to the Samaritan’s Purse.
