Review: Jeff Timmons puts on upbeat holiday show at Resorts World Casino (Includes first-hand account)

“The Hardest Thing” was a highlight ballad in his set, where he was able to interpret the song’s lyrics convincingly. Timmons serenaded “I Do (Cherish You)” to a luck female fan in the casino audience. He sang it with a great deal of heart, charisma and minimal melisma.

One of the crowd favorite performances of the night was the 98 Degrees classic “Invisible Man.” He had the audience waving along with him on “Because of You,” as they were singing along with him, as he showcased his whistle notes. “Get those hands up one more time. Let’s go,” he said, midway through the song. “Sing with me now. C’mon. Let’s go.”

“Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche)” was a great deal of fun, where Timmons was backed by female dancers, as well as fans that danced along with him. It had an infectious electro-pop vibe to it, and it is no wonder that it reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, becoming 98 Degrees’ highest charting hit as a group. “Thank you guys,” he said, graciously.

The Verdict

Jeff Timmons is always worth seeing live whenever he is in town. He never disappoints, and gives it his all in every performance. This mini-concert was a great way to get his New York fans in the holiday spirit. Well done Jeff.

Timmons chatted with Digital Journal about his latest show at Resorts World Casino’s Bar 360.
