Review: Janine has released her new studio album “99” (Includes first-hand account)

99 opens with the sultry “Be By Myself,” where she instantly lures the listener in her new musical effort. It is followed by the soothing “Hold On,” where her vocals are pure as the driven snow. The control Janine maintains over her voice is quite incredible.

Equally beautiful is “Don’t Love Me,” and in the follow-up song “Never the Right Time,” the listener can recall Alicia Keys and the late but great Aaliyah, and that ought to be taken as a compliment. She shows her ability to belt out the high notes on the unapologetic tune “Too Late,” which is her latest single.

“Numb” is yet another powerhouse vocal, which Janine simply slays. After the mid-tempo “Believed in You,” the collection concludes with “Wrong Thing,” and on a mellifluous note with the optimistic “Get Through This Again.”

99 is available on iTunes and on Spotify.

The Verdict

Overall, Janine has released a glorious studio album 99. There is something in it for everybody, and there are no filler tracks on this collection, thus making it difficult to chose a personal favorite song. Janine deserves to become the next big female musical phenom in the music industry. 99 garners an A rating.
