article imageReview: Imagine Dragons release brilliant lyric video for 'Zero' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Sep 19, 2018 in Music
On September 19, acclaimed rock group Imagine Dragons released their new lyric video for "Zero" via KIDinaKORNER and Interscope Records.
A Grammy-winning rock band, Imagine Dragons wrote and recorded "Zero" for the end-credits of Walt Disney Animation Studios' Ralph Breaks the Internet. "Zero" will be featured as a track on the forthcoming Walt Disney soundtrack album for Ralph Breaks the Internet, which will open in theaters on November 21 in the United States. The movie was directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston.
Front-man Dan Reynolds noted that the movie's theme is reflected in "Zero," especially since it addresses such topics as loneliness and identity, which are distinct to the Internet generation. Reynolds further noted that the tune is a "dichotomy" consisting of heavy lyrics over upbeat instrumentation.
As Digital Journal reported, Imagine Dragons has been nominated for three American Music Awards (AMA), which include a nod for the prestigious "Artist of the Year" category.
"Zero" is available on iTunes and on Spotify.
The Verdict
Overall, the new Imagine Dragons lyric video for "Zero" is well-crafted and clever. "Zero" is worth more than just a passing glance, and it garners two giant thumbs up.
