Review: Heather Whitney impressive on new single ‘What Part of Life’ (Includes first-hand account)

Originally from Southeast Texas, singer-songwriter Heather Whitney is back with a new meaningful single “What Part of Life,” where the listener can recall the crystalline vocals of Miranda Lambert (“Heart Like Mine”), who ironically enough, also hails from Texas. It is evident that there is something in the water there, talent-wise.

Whitney wrote this new song and it was subsequently produced by Buddy Hyatt. She writes her music from experience and it shows. “What Part of Life” is making its way up the New Music Weekly Country Charts, and rightfully so.

“What Part of Life” is available on iTunes.

The Verdict

Overall, Heather Whitney has done it again by releasing another well-crafted country tune. “What Part of Life” is heartfelt, compelling and relatable. Whitney proves to be one of the most underrated female country recording artists of our time. Her versatility as a singer-songwriter is incredible. “What Part of Life” garners an A rating.
