Review: Harper Grae traces her ‘Bloodline’ in new single and music video (Includes first-hand account)

Bloodline” was the first song in a four-song and four music video work entitled Buck Moon Medleys. The single is haunting, sassy, and up-tempo, all in one; moreover, it will make the listener clap along and stomp on their feet. The tune deals with the one photograph of the mother that she never knew, where she is left tracing her “bloodline,” and the song’s lyrics are conversational. She belts out the high notes, and makes them seem effortless.

Today, Grae made her debut at the 2018 CMA Music Fest, where she performed at the CMA Spotlight Stage inside Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

“Bloodline” is available on iTunes.

The Verdict

Overall, Harper Grae has done a solid job on her latest single “Bloodline,” and the music video is well-crafted as well. It showcases her growth and maturity as a singer-songwriter. The song garners two giant thumbs up.
