Review: Gareth Emery releases solid remixes of new track ‘Call to Arms’ (Includes first-hand account)

This song is a collaboration with singer-songwriter Evan Henzi. “Call to Arms” was reworked by such remixers as Cosmic Gate, Sebastien, Matt Fax and Davey Asprey, and they all brought something new to the table.

The Cosmic Gate remix is a “no-holds-barred” take on the original track, while Matt Fax’s remix is more progressive and upbeat. Davey Asprey’s remix is more bass line driven, and Sebastien’s remixed version is more atmospheric, slowed down and soothing. There is something in it for everybody.

The remixes to “Call to Arms” featuring Evan Henzi, is available on iTunes, and on Spotify.

The Verdict

Overall, “Call to Arms” by Gareth Emery was already a solid track, but the remixes helped bring it to another dimension. They were able to take the tune’s empowering message and multiply it by four for an increased impact, and it is safe to say that they all succeeded. Well done.
