article imageReview: Decadia superb at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall on Long Island Special

Wantagh - On November 3, 80's tribute group Decadia performed at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall on Long Island, for a great turnout. They shared the stage with The 90's Band, and DJ Mike Savage was spinning records throughout the night.
They kicked off their set with the Journey classic "Any Way You Want It," where they were instantly able to lure their listeners from the first verse. Their take on Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine" was impressive, as the audience in the venue was singing along.
Genessa showcased her tremendous pipes on Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself for Loving You," and her version of Pat Benatar's "Shadows of the Night" was exceptional: she started the song a cappella, and belted out the rock ballad in full force.
She showed the growl and rasp in the voice on Benatar's "Love is a Battlefield," and "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" was equally powerful and infectious, as yellow and red lights dimmed from the stage. "Alright. C'mon," she said, midway through the song, and she had the crowd with her every step of the way. It is evident that Genessa was born to sing rock music.
They continued with Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop," Queen's classic rock tune "Under Pressure," The Outfield's "Your Love." "Are you ready to dance silly?" they asked, and even threw in a fun cover of "Footloose."
The Verdict
Overall, Decadia rocked Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall in the best 80's way possible. The entire band rocked as a whole. They have great energy and stage presence. Their live set at Mulcahy's garnered an A rating, and they are highly recommended seeing live whenever they are in town.
