article imageReview: Death from Above soars on new music video for 'Freeze Me' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Jun 14, 2017 in Music
Canadian punk rock band Death From Above have released their new music video for their single "Freeze Me," which came out last week.
Canadian film-maker Corey Adams served as director and editor of the music video, which was filmed in Los Angeles. While the music video in itself is bizarre, with a bodybuilding concept to it, it weaves the story-line in between and around the muscular, omnipresent monster riff.
Sebastien Grainger from the band noted in a press statement that when the director started talking about this video, he wanted to depict how bodybuilders would spend their final day on earth before the nuclear apocalypse. Corey Adams had also mentioned to them that it would consist of a guy dressed up as Rambo playing a machine gun as if it were an electric guitar, as well as a female bodybuilder pumping iron under water.
Death From Above is comprised of Sebastien Grainger on vocals and drums, as well as Jesse F. Keeler on bass, keys and synths.
The Verdict
Overall, the music video for "Freeze Me" from Death From Above garners four out of five stars. It is slightly different than their previous musical work, but it is still a solid track, and the video is distinct and creative.
"Freeze Me" is available for purchase on iTunes.
