Review: David Hernandez releases wonderful new single ‘Beautiful’ (Includes first-hand account)

This love song’s lyrics are meaningful and special, to the point, where anybody can relate to them. The lyrics are heartfelt and inspirational, and they compliment the song’s music video well. In the music video, Hernandez is in top form, physically and vocally.

“The stars are in the sky, and they are starting to align,” he sings, in the opening verse. “If this were a love song would you be mine, cause I can’t get you off of my mind,” he subsequently sings.

His velvet vocals on “Beautiful” are reminiscent of Cody Simpson meets Chris Brown, and both of these comparisons, should be taken as a major compliment.

While he is best known as the 12th place finalist of the seventh season of the reality singing competition, American Idol, with music of this caliber, Hernandez can branch out on his own, and make it big in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene.

The Verdict

Overall, David Hernandez charms on his new uplifting single “Beautiful,” which is catchy and made for the radio airwaves. It is refreshing, soothing and simply perfect. It encourages the listener to get up and dance. Hernandez’s voice is as smooth as silk. “Beautiful” garners 5 out of 5 stars.

David Hernandez’ “Beautiful” is available on iTunes.
