Review: Children’s music queen Laurie Berkner shines on ‘Amazing Grace’ (Includes first-hand account)

Berkner posted the audio video of this recording on August 10, 2018, on her popular YouTube channel. Her version of “Amazing Grace” is featured on her Laurie Berkner’s Favorite Classic Kids’ Songs album, and it is bound to be a favorite for many (especially those who have yet to hear it).

Her vocals on the timeless “Amazing Grace” are controlled, angelic and crystalline. Berkner sings it as a soothing lullaby, and that ought to be taken as a compliment. It garners an A rating.

Fans and listeners can check out Laurie Berkner’s Favorite Classic Kids’ Songs album on Spotify, and on iTunes.

On July 24, as Digital Journal reported, Berkner hosted a YouTube virtual show for her new children’s book Monster Boogie. On that same day, she hosted a free mini-concert at her Barnes & Noble book signing in Manhattan.
