Review: Charlz haunting on new track ‘To You’ produced by Lliam + Latroit (Includes first-hand account)

Lliam + Latroit did a solid job on the production. The song has a light piano tickle at the beginning alongside a deep breathy vocal by Charlz that is somewhat haunting, and it builds with pressurized synthesizers. The melodies towards the last minute of the song are pure ear candy.

“Panda eyes at the cemetery, I know you feel it too, paralyzed momentarily as my mind connected the truth, all the rage I could’ve held but I chose love to grieve more like you’d do,” Charlz sings.

An Aussie songstress, Charlz is a newcomer to the dance-pop world in the United States. In the past, she released music as Sunset Child on Ultra, and next year she will be featured on ATTLAS‘ new EP for deadmau5’s mau5trap label.

The Verdict

Overall, the track “To You” is quite promising, and Charlz‘ future in the electronic music industry should be promising. Her vocals are rich and husky. This track earns four out of five stars.

“To You” is available on iTunes and on Spotify.
