Review: Carrie Underwood celebrates album release at Opry City Stage (Includes first-hand account)

The country songstress joined the hit country radio station, NASH FM 94.7, for a private and intimate “Up Close and Country” performance that took place at the Opry City Stage in Times Square, in the heart of Manhattan. She was interviewed live by radio personality Katie Neal from NASH FM 94.7.

On that same day, Underwood launched the release of her latest studio offering, the critically-acclaimed Cry Pretty, and this broadcast was aired on all 82 Cumulus Media NASH country stations throughout the United States.

Speaking of the Opry, Underwood was officially made a member of the Grand Ole Opry on May 10, 2008. This year, she celebrated her 10th anniversary as a member.

Earlier that day, Underwood was scheduled to perform on the Today show, as part of their “Summer Concert Series,” but that performance got canceled due to Hurricane Florence coverage.
