Review: Bingx back with new hip hop album ‘My E.G.O.’ (Includes first-hand account)

It opens with the up-tempo and spitfire “It’s a Big Deal,” and it is followed by “I Got That Ish,” his collaboration with rap artist Jarren Benton. “More Than a Weekend” is comprised of strong melodies and catchy hooks. “You Don’t Know Me” has a lonesome and haunting vibe to it.

Bingx picks up with the pace with the highly-explicit tune “Gimme That Nani.” It continues with the unapologetic “In My Prayers” and “In My 64,” where he duets with songstress Shaun Rose, who lends her breathy vocals on the tune. “Waitin’ for Ya” is a collaboration with Whitney Peyton.

After “Back to You,” the album closes with the infectious “Far Away” and the spitfire “Numbers Up.”

This summer, Bingx has been out on the road touring with rapper Jarren Benton.

The Verdict

Overall, the Bingx new studio album My E.G.O. is highly diverse. It bears to mention that some songs on there are not for everyone. It is recommended for fans of hip hop, urban and rap music. The CD garners four out of five stars.

Bingx’s new album is available on Amazon.
