By Markos Papadatos     May 23, 2017 in Music
Canadian singer-songwriter Billy Raffoul has released his new radio single "Driver" on Interscope, and it is absolutely incredible.
His single "Driver" has a retro vibe to it, and killer guitar riffs, coupled by his haunting, gravelly and husky voice. The lyrics are quite powerful and compelling.
It has garnered rave reviews from such media outlets Entertainment Weekly and Time, and rightfully so.
A 22-year-old singer-songwriter, Raffoul is signed to Interscope's new Nashville roster. His vocals are reminiscent of such acclaimed rockers as Jeff Buckley, Neil Young, and Bruce Springsteen. His first gig was playing for truck drivers at his local truck stop, and by the age of 18, he was opening for Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jeff Beck.
This summer, Raffoul will be performing at Hyde Park with Pixies and Kings of Leon. His breakthrough studio album is due later this year.
The Verdict
Overall, Billy Raffoul rocks on his new single "Driver," as he takes his fans on a musical journey. It is evident that he has an old soul, and his music is worth more than just a passing glance. This single garners an A rating.
"Driver" is available on iTunes and on Spotify.
