Chris Cornell, who passed away tragically yesterday at the age of 52 from suicide, had made the introductory remarks on Ann and Nancy Wilson and their band, Heart, in the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Overall, Ann Wilson took a risk by performing “Black Hole Sun,” and the risk has paid off, since many fans (Heart and Soundgarden alike) can feel the emotion she poured into this performance. This performance was a gift from a rock and roll goddess. Chris Cornell himself would have been proud, since Heart is one of his greatest musical influences.
