Review: American Idol’s Lee DeWyze charms on ‘The Breakdown’ lyric video (Includes first-hand account)

The Breakdown” is the lead single from his forthcoming studio album, Paranoia, which will be released via Shanachie Entertainment on February 16, 2018. This marks his first full-length studio album since Oil & Water was released in 2016.

DeWyze’s vocals are rich and crisp, and he is not afraid to showcase his vulnerability as a singer-songwriter.

In support of this album, DeWyze will be embarking on a North American tour in mid-February. The musician has signed an exclusive deal with CESD, the leading agency for Voice-Over for animation and video.

DeWyze was the winner of the ninth season of the reality singing competition, American Idol.

The Verdict

Overall, Lee DeWyze displays his heart and soul on “The Breakdown,” and it is destined to strike a chord with his fans and listeners. The song’s lyric video is well done. If the rest of the new studio album is anything like this lead single, then his fans and listeners are in for a real treat. “The Breakdown” lyric video garners two giant thumbs up.
