By Markos Papadatos     Oct 9, 2016 in Music
Rock group Alter Bridge is back with their latest studio offering, "The Last Hero," which was released on October 7, and it is excellent.
The album opens with their political-themed single "Show Me A Leader" and it is followed by The Writing On The Wall," featuring Myles Kennedy's impressive pipes, and the drum-driven "The Other Side."
"My Champion" is destined to be a fan-favorite recording, while "Poison In Your Veins" is an up-tempo rocking tune. Other well-crafted tracks include "Losing Patience" and "This Side Of Fate," where Kennedy's voice is pure and compelling.
The melancholic "You Will Be Remembered" is this journalist's personal favorite track on the album, and it ought to be enjoyed for its beauty and simplicity. Kennedy's vocals are soft and captivating, displaying his wide range. Anybody who has ever lost somebody can relate to this song's moving message. It closes with "Island of Fools" and on a soaring note with the title track "The Last Hero."
The Verdict
Overall, Alter Bridge rocks on their newest studio effort The Last Hero. Not only is this a powerful album melodically, but lyrically as well. It garners an A rating.
