Westbury - On August 11, all-girl group Dream performed at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on Long Island, as part of the "My2K" summer tour.
They shared the bill with O-Town, singer-songwriter Ryan Cabrera and headliners 98 Degrees.
Dream opened their set with "I Am Woman," which had an electro-pop vibe to it. "Westbury, how are you feeling?" they asked their New York fans. "How did you like O-Town and heartthrob Ryan Cabrera?"
"This Is Me" was one of the highlights from the beginning of their set, as the stage was graced in turquoise lights, and they included the remix of the song.
They shared with their fans that the last 15 years have been quite a journey for them, so as they introduced their new single, the inspirational "I Believe," they encouraged them to really listen to the song's lyrics.
Dream closed their set with their signature song, "He Loves U Not," where they were able to get everybody off their feet, and they were singing along with them.
The Verdict
Dream helped bring nostalgia to this My2K this summer, as they brought their fans back to 2000 and 2001 with the memorable hits. The girls from the group looked beautiful, where the listener would recall The Pussycat Dolls meets Fifth Harmony.
