article imageReview: Alan Walker spectacular at 'Electric Zoo' for 10th anniversary Special

By Markos Papadatos     Sep 4, 2018 in Music
New York - On September 1, Norwegian DJ and producer Alan Walker performed on the main stage at "Electric Zoo: The Big 10" in Randall's Island Park in New York.
The introduction to his set was "The Spectre," which was the remake for "Spectre," which he made in 2014. "It is so cool to see you guys," he said. "It is an honor to be back in New York," he added.
His remix of Sia's "Move Your Body" was glorious, and equally impressive was his remix of "Sheep" by Chinese musician Lay. "Alone" had strong melodies, atmospheric vocals, and it was nearly perfect.
Walker proved that he is a true force to be reckoned with in the contemporary electronic music scene. He closed his versatile set with his international hit "Faded," where he left the main stage crowd thirsty for more Alan Walker music.
His track "Darkside" is available on iTunes.
The Verdict
Overall, Alan Walker was able to put on a high-energy set at Electric Zoo that was comprised of a neat balance of upbeat tracks and slower ballads (with a focus on melodies). Walker is certainly the "One to Watch" in the next few years in the electronic dance music genre. His vivacious set at Electric Zoo is a harbinger of bigger and better things to come, as Walker is poised for superstardom. Walker's show garnered five out of five stars.
