Lambert sported a new haircut (red hair), and he was joined by living guitar legend Brian May on guitar, and Roger Taylor on drums.
They kicked off their set with the sassy and rocking “I Want It All,” where he showed off his unbelievable high notes in the end. Brian May’s electric guitar solo midway through was exceptional, as always. They had the audience clapping along with them on this classic rock tune.
Equally fun and infectious was the upbeat “Don’t Stop Me Now,” which featured his powerhouse pipes. Lambert showed his nonchalant side, and his “I don’t give a damn attitude” on “Two Fux,” which was witty and clever, as purple lights dimmed from the stage. Queen and Adam Lambert closed their four-song set on a nostalgic note with the mid-tempo “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”
The Verdict
Overall, Adam Lambert and Queen rocked Jimmy Kimmel Live! This mini-concert was a substantial indication that their summer tour in North America is bound to be a great deal of fun. Well done gentlemen. They garnered an A rating for a superb outdoor performance. Queen and Lambert are worth seeing live when they come to town.
