This past June, Bret Michaels and Poison performed at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh on Long Island, as part of their “Nothin’ But a Good Time” Tour. Poison shared the stage with such musical acts as Cheap Trick and Pop Evil. Michaels’ energy level was infectious, as he belted out all of their classic hits, and commanded the stage with Poison.
Overall, Bret Michaels and Poison put on the best live rock concert for the summer of 2018, which was a substantial indication that they belong in the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
With such classic songs in their set as “Nothin’ but a Good Time,” “Your Mama Don’t Dance,” “Something to Believe In,” “Look What the Cat Dragged In,” “Talk Dirty to Me,” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” how could anybody go wrong with Poison. Their songs are as compelling today, as when they first recorded them in the late ’80s.
