NERVO talks ‘Forever or Nothing,’ music career, Justin Bieber (Includes interview)

NERVO is drawn to electronic dance music due to their fans. “We love the fans and the dedication they give to each and every show. It makes it a joy that these fans show up and sing along with all their energy and enthusiasm,” they said.

In this year’s DJ Magazine Top 100 poll, they were the highest-charting female DJs at No. 45. “We consider it a tremendous honor to be voted as the top female DJs again and thank you everyone who voted for us! People think that this competition is silly and some artists refuse to participate (and to honest we don’t blame them) but all aside, it makes us feel very special that we have fans out there that really enjoy our music and what we do,” they said.

They hinted that they would love to return to New York City and play again. “We can’t keep away from The Big Apple and will definitely be back in 2017,” they said.

On their new track, “Forever or Nothing,” they said, “We have known SAVI for years from the LA scene. He plays in a lot of the clubs that we do, and we have a lot of friends in common. We sent him the a cappella and over the past year, we have been tweaking the track. Lauren came on the track later and gave us the extra push we needed to release it. She’s an absolute gem.”

When asked what motivates them each day, NERVO said, “Each day it’s something different. Whether we are waking up to travel to a new city and country for a show or waking up to go to the studio and write new music, each day brings us so much joy and humbles us. We are so fortunate to be doing music for a job. This is something we will never take for granted.”

Regarding their future plans, they said, “That’s a tough one because we don’t know what the future holds for our industry but we know we will always write music and keep putting out records as long as people keep enjoying them, or maybe even when people hate them we’ll still make them!”

Both twins concurred that they would love to record a duet with Justin Bieber as their dream male collaboration choice.

For aspiring female DJs and producers, the EDM queens said, “Don’t let anything or anyone get in your way of accomplishing your goals and dreams. Even though it is a male dominated industry, there is plenty of room for more females. Focus on the music and not the sex appeal, and you will conquer it all!”

NERVO’s definition of success is as follows: “Success is how you interpret it, and if you are satisfied with meeting the goals you set for yourself and happy in your life then you are winning. Don’t let anyone else determine success for you as it has to come from within.

For their fans, they concluded, “We love you guys, and thank you for all the support #NERVONATION. Honestly pinching ourselves on the daily basis.”

“Forever or Nothing” is available on iTunes.
