By Markos Papadatos     Dec 1, 2017 in Music
Myles Kennedy, the front-man of the acclaimed rock band Alter Bridge, will release his debut solo album, "Year of the Tiger" worldwide on March 9, 2018.
Year of the Tiger will be released on Napalm Records. The album is available for pre-order on the label's website.
Myles Kennedy has been praised as one of rock music's most powerful and best-loved voices, and rightfully so. An esteemed rock singer-songwriter and guitar player, Kennedy is known for his work with Alter Bridge, as well as Slash and the Conspirators. His dynamic vocal range spans anywhere from 3.5 to four octaves.
With this forthcoming album, Kennedy embarks on his first venture as a solo artist. The concept of this record was inspired by the loss of his father when he was a kid. The multi-instrumentalist is featured on such instruments on this musical project: mandolin, guitar, bass, lap steep and banjo. Kennedy's emotional journey and personal story is captured in a bluesy Americana album with a twist of country and rock.
Aside from the title track, the new album will be comprised of the following songs: "The Great Beyond," "Blind Faith," "Devil On The Wall," "Ghost of Shangri La," "Turning Stones," "Haunted By Design," "Mother," "Nothing But A Name," "Love Can Only Heal," "Songbird," as well as the closing song "One Fine Day."
