Metallica’s ‘Hardwired… to Self-Destruct’ is certified platinum

Their latest studio effort Hardwired… to Self-Destruct has sold in excess of one million albums. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers were presented with their platinum plaques by the executives of Blackened Recordings backstage at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

Speaking of Nassau Coliseum, Metallica’s sold-out show for NYCB Live garnered a favorable review from Digital Journal.

Metallica also unveiled a live music video for their latest radio single “Now That We’re Dead,” which was filmed in Mexico City during their 2017 “Hardwired World Tour,” which was directed by Brett Murray.

Most impressive about Metallica is that In December of 2013, they made history when they played a show in Antarctica, thus becoming the first musical act to perform in all seven continents in a one year period, where they secured themselves a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.
