Laurie Berkner to perform ‘Monster Boogie’ Halloween show in NY

This “Monster Boogie” show will take place at The Concert Hall at the New York Society for Ethical Culture in New York on October 20 at 3 p.m. This year, this show will coincide with her latest picture book, Monster Boogie, which features illustrations by Ben Clanton.

Laurie Berkner noted that her entire band is excited to be playing another “Monster Boogie” Halloween concert in New York City. “After all the fun we had last year, we can’t wait to make lots of music together, see all of the different ways our fans dress up, and maybe even share a surprise or two with them around this wonderfully kid-oriented holiday,” she exclaimed.

The songstress acknowledged that when we were children, monsters were viewed as “scary things.” They all want to be loud at times or get caught up in their angry feelings. She wrote the lyrics to “Monster Boogie” so that the children could have the chance to be the monster, and enjoy it, in a safe, loving way.

This past July, Berkner hosted a YouTube live stream virtual show for her Monster Boogie release.
