Global music star Justin Bieber will be embarking on his first-ever North American Stadium Tour, in an effort to promote his "Purpose" album.
This North American tour will be a part of his "Purpose World Tour," and it will kick off on August 5 in Pasadena, California, at the Rose Bowl Stadium, and it will continue in such stadiums as Denver, Minneapolis, East Rutherford (New Jersey), as well as Foxborough, before it wraps up on September 5 in Toronto, Canada, at the Rogers Centre. The Biebs announced the big news exclusively on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
At this year's American Music Awards (AMAs), Bieber took home more awards than any other artist, where he was honored as "Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist," "Love Yourself" was named "Favorite Pop/Rock Song" and his "Sorry" music video was named "Video of the Year"; moreover, his album Purpose was named "Favorite Pop/Rock Album."
His Purpose album was released in over 100 countries, and it launched consecutive chart-topping singles. 17 of its songs charted on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in one week, beating records by The Beatles and Drake, and it went on to sell over 10 million copies worldwide.
