On his new single, “She Ain’t In It,” Pardi said, “When I first heard it, it was released from the George Strait camp, and that blew me away. I had to listen to it over and over again. I decided to record it in 2016, and we made it the way we wanted it. We had a real pretty production on it.”
Pardi is nominated for three 2017 Country Music Association (CMA) awards, which include nods for “Single of the Year” and “Song of the Year” for “Dirt on My Boots,” and he is in the running for “New Artist of the Year.” “Those were amazing! We worked so hard to get acknowledged, and it was an honor to get mentioned in those categories,” he said.
Regarding his future plans, Pardi said, “To do the best I possibly can and sell as many tickets as I can. To make the best music as I can.”
When asked what motivates him each day, he said, “All of the things that are really paying off: nominations, the fans, the No. 1s. I worked so hard to even get a song on the radio. Then, the songs go on the radio, and they climb higher and higher and they start going No. 1, and that’s what makes a big difference, and it keeps you going.”
Pardi has admitted that he has seen a resurgence in vinyl lately. “I make all my music on vinyl,” he said. He went on to thank his fans, the “Pardi animals.” “You guys are the best, and I can’t wait to get you new music,” he said.
He defined the word success as “Keeping On, Keeping On.”
