Jess Moskaluke talks Juno win and ‘Drive Me Away’ single (Includes interview)

This year, Moskaluke won her first Juno award for “Best Country Album.” “It was a huge surprise and honour. It took me a minute to realize it was my name up on the screen,” she said, with a sweet laugh.

On her plans for the rest of the year, she said, “Well, I’ll be releasing an album later on this year, so we are focusing on finishing that up right now, as well as working on upping the ante for the shows this summer.”

Regarding her summer touring dates, the songstress said, “You can always expect a high energy show from us. We try to keep it pretty fast-paced!”

Moskaluke also hinted that there are some other fun, charity functions that are in the works.

This past November, Moskaluke took home her third consecutive win for the coveted CCMA “Female Artist of the Year” award. “I think anytime you win an award it comes with a similar feeling. Shock. Amazement. Overwhelming excitement,” she said.

On her new radio single, “Drive Me Away,” she said, “It wasn’t unlike any other write! We sat in a room and tried to come up with the best song we could, and this is what we came up with. We were all pretty excited about it and knew it was going to be something special.”

For her loyal fans, Moskaluke concluded, “Thanks for all that you do, and I’ll see you on the road this summer!”

“Drive Me Away” is available on iTunes.
