Jerry Lee Lewis celebrates 60 years of hits in the music industry

Lewis is one of the most iconic musicians of all-time, who is known as a singer, songwriter and pianist. Throughout his illustrious career, he has collaborated with such greats as Keith Richards, Slash, Willie Nelson, Eric Clapton, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, among countless others. His music encompasses elements of rock and roll, country and blues.

He was one of the very first inductees into the coveted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where he was inducted in its first class of 1986, along with Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Ray Charles, Buddy Holly, Sam Cooke and James Brown. The living legend is affectionately known as “The Killer,” and he teamed up with 117 Entertainment Group in Nashville for public relations and media representation, and he is booked by CAA worldwide.

Lewis was born in 1935 in Ferriday, Louisiana. He would later join the Memphis-based record label, Sun Records, which resulted in such hit records as “Crazy Arms,” “Whole Lotta Shakin'” and “Great Balls of Fire.” His early life was made into a major motion picture, Great Balls of Fire!, which starred actor Dennis Quaid as Lewis.

Other impressive accolades in his career include a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, several Grammy awards to his credit, as well as the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Recording Academy.
