Regarding his music video for “Adderall,” he said, “This is actually one of the first times I’ve written down about what I wanted to do.”
He noted that he made references to films and talked about what he thought the song was about. “I liked the one from Niklaus Lange and it was a real collaborative effort, and it came about through me writing down some thoughts and collaborating with the director.”
The music video’s ice cream concept was a “cool idea” for Frost. “I thought that was a cool idea since I had a hard time visualizing what we were going to do without it being too dark.”
Frost’s plans for the future are to release and album in the spring of next year, and he hopes to have more singles out before then, and to eventually tour sooner than later. He was named by Rolling Stone and NPR as one of their “10 Artists You Need To Know.”
On his tour last year, the musician shared that both the West Coast and East Coast shows were beyond his expectations, and he enjoyed connecting with his fans as a headliner. “It felt like a first step towards something great and consistent,” he said.
The singer-songwriter listed Kai, Beyonce and Janelle Monáe as his dream female duet choices in music. “Adderall” is available on iTunes.
