Regarding his song “Play this Game,” he said, “It’s about the music industry and its struggle. Moving to Los Angeles, I realized how competitive everything was, and it was no longer a place to keep your head in the sand. You have to be competitive and play the game and know what other people are doing. I like to do my own thing. It was a cocky song in a way, because I feel that my material does stand competitively with everything else, so I wanted to portray that in that song.”
On his future plans, he said, “To continue playing live and making records. That’s really all I want to do. To be able to get into a comfortable cycle of creating albums and being able to play, and really growing and growing until it gets to its absolute maximum point. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I’m hoping to build my band, and to build the records so that they can become better over time, and keep creating. That’s all I’m here for.”
Each day, Grabbitz is motivated by his ability to have creative freedom. “Every time I see anyone doing what they want to do or something they are passionate of doing, it fuels me, and just having people around me that I love and that are working hard with me, makes me want to lead the charge. I have to be the one that will bring everything to the next level,” he said.
For his fans, he concluded, “It’s a dog eat dog world out there, so you got to support your favorite artists. It’s hard to get out there, so the more support the fans give, the more they get the good music.”
