By Markos Papadatos     Jan 17, 2017 in Music
DJ Low Steppa chatted with Digital Journal about his love for house music, future plans, daily motivations and dream collaboration choice.
Regarding his plans for the future, the DJ said, "Music-wise, I will definitely look at starting an album very soon. I've been waiting for the right time and I feel that could be soon."
On the house music scene, he said, "I think it continues to grow, and go from strength to strength, with lots of different styles of it splitting off. There are loads going on, and I hope it continues."
Each day he is motivated simply by music. "It's all about being inspired by new music or old music even. For me, it's just a way of life now to work hard and make music everyday. The fans are also constantly motivating me. They are awesome," he said.
He listed the late global music star Prince as his dream collaboration choice, and he regrets the fact that unfortunately, this dream collaboration will never happen.
Low Steppa revealed that he will be in New York very soon for his first-ever label party for Simma Black. "I'm really looking forward to it," he exclaimed.
When asked where he sees house music in the next five years, he responded, "I would like to see some funk and disco come back into it, a lot of tech is around right now, I would like to see less music and more focus on quality like in the vinyl era. I guess there are so many more artists now though than back in the day."
For his fans, he concluded, "As always a huge thank you, I have some amazing fans and they always make sure to let me know they are there and that really drives me everyday."
