article imageInterview: Brandon Stansell discusses 'Never Know' single Special

By Markos Papadatos     Feb 28, 2017 in Music
Singer-songwriter Brandon Stansell chatted with Digital Journal about his latest single "Never Know" and its music video.
On his song "Never Know," Stansell said, "The song was something I wrote with two writers in Nashville. It was inspired by a dating attempt gone bad. The inspiration behind the song was that feeling that sometimes things get cut off a little too abruptly and you are left with the sense that you don't know what could have been, since it was a little out of your control, and it didn't quite work out. I wrote it with two great writers and my producer in Nashville. Once the song was done, we put it on the EP and my good friend Trent directed and produced the video. We took a weekend and filmed the video and I'm really happy with the way that it all turned out."
Regarding Stansell's future plans, he said, "We have a lot of things coming up this year that I am really excited about. I am writing to finish this record. The goal is to release a 10-song record in the fall. Between now and then, I am working on this new video that we will be shooting in April for the last song on the EP."
In the country music world, he listed Hall of Famers Dolly Parton and Vince Gill as his dream collaboration choices. "That would be dreams coming true left and right," he said.
