Hot Chelle Rae’s Ryan Follese talks country career, new music (Includes interview)

He is very proud of his new country song “Float Your Boat.” “I thought it was a good lead-off to show people where I am going and what I am doing,” he said.

Follese revealed that he will be releasing a new single this week, which is his debut single entitled “Put A Label On It,” which will be available on iTunes on September 2. “It’s the first single from this new EP, and I am so thrilled,” he admitted. “I wanted to put my best foot forward on this EP, and I wanted to include my best songs.”

He shared that he get his motivation from his parents, both of which are songwriters. “My mom and dad write a song every single day of the week, and they have given me something to lean on. They have always pushed me, and I don’t think I could have done it without them,” he said.

Follese had nothing but the kindest words for country songstress Kelsea Ballerini, and listed her as his dream female duet choice. “I love what Kelsea is doing for the country genre,” he said.

His songwriting is inspired by everyday life. “I don’t write a song that I haven’t lived or breathed,” he said. “I’m pulling from real experiences, from love and heartache.”

For his fans, Follese concluded, “Thank you for going on this wild ride with me, through my band and through my country solo career.”
