Hillary Epstein of Fleetwood Macked talks upcoming Mulcahy’s show (Includes interview)

Fleetwood Macked is a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, and on May 19, they will be returning to Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall for yet another classic rock show. “I am very excited,” she said, with a sweet laugh. “We love it there. It should be a great night, and we are doing something interesting that night. We took a part of the set, that is well-known from their tour in 2015, and it will be a part of the Fleetwood Mac set-list.”

Epstein shared that music fans can expect to hear such Fleetwood Mac classics as “Rhiannon” and “Gypsy.” That same night, Fleetwood Macked will be sharing the stage with boy band tribute band Larger Than Life.

She had nothing but the the kindest words about Mulcahy’s, and the venue’s staff and management. “The management is so great to the band and they have been so supportive,” she said. “Our show keeps growing and evolving. Mulcahy’s is a great stage for us.”

Most impressive about Epstein is that she makes a lot of Nicks’ clothing herself (the ones that she wears while performing on stage). That is where her degree in fashion from FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) comes in handy. “I make a lot of the clothing herself. Our show is developing and there will be more costume changes. It’s an exciting time for us. We want to keep evolving and give the fans more reason to come and see us,” she said.

On April 6, Epstein was afforded the privilege to see Stevie Nicks perform live at the new Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale with The Pretenders. “I thought it was incredible. I love the intimacy of the storytelling and the stories behind all of those songs,” she said, about the Stevie Nicks concert. “The production of the concert was absolutely incredible.”

Epstein listed “Silver Springs” and “Landslide” as her two favorite Stevie Nicks songs to perform live. “I’ve loved the song ‘Landslide’ since I was a little girl. It was one of my father’s favorite songs. Me and Stevie lost our fathers within three weeks from each other,” she said, noting the special significance of “Landslide.”
