This award honors influential artists in the entertainment industry, and Schmidt was joined on stage by fellow recipients and Hollywood stars Tim Robins, Danny DeVito, Jeremy Irons and Danny Glover.
Aside from Schmidt, the duo is comprised of Dustin Belt on lead guitar and backing vocals. Their latest singe, "Don't Let Me Go," is their follow-up to "Rain Don't Come."
Most recently, on August 25, Heffron Drive played a show at the Revolution Bar and Music Hall in Amityville on Long Island, which was well-received.
