British duo Eurythmics have earned their first nomination for the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, for its Class of 2018.
Eurythmics was comprised of Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart. They have been eligible for nomination since 2006.
As indicated by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website, the Eurythmics exploded on MTV, as well as dance-floors. They are credited for changing the world's perception of what a pop group sounded like, and looked like. They were praised for their instrumental and production prowess, as well as their soaring vocals.
Throughout out their accomplished career in the music industry, Eurythmics have sold in excess of 80 million albums, and they have secured over 20 international hits. Eight of their studio albums will be re-released on vinyl via RCA/Legacy Recordings. These vinyl will feature all the original illustrations, album art-work, and the liner notes.
The eight Eurythmics vinyl albums are available for pre-order on Amazon.
While the British duo may have split in 1990, they have reconvened on several occasions, most recently in 2014.
