Electronic artist Aadysi talks music career, technology, Ableton (Includes interview)

Stefano Frantellizzi, known by his stage name Aadysi, is based in New York, and he was inspired to do music while studying at Binghamton University. “I kept going to concerts and I just fell in love with the atmosphere, and I wanted to go into producing and making music,” he said. “I have come a long way,” he admitted.

He is known for the mask that he wears, which connects his stage name to a mythical story and a deity. “Electronic music gives the artist freedom to create every aspect of music, designs, and imagery. I am a very creative person,” he said. “The mask goes along with the whole tribe. It is a symbol representing the specific deity that Aadysi is a part of.”

Presently, he is enrolled in Icon, the music production school online. “I am trying to finish as much music as possible,” he said. “I have a new single coming out in a few weeks. I am working on developing the story more, and creating as much content as possible.”

He listed Illenium, Porter Robinson (Virtual Self), and Skrillex as his dream collaboration choices in electronic music.

For aspiring DJs and producers, Aadysi said, “Maintain an artistic vision of yourself. You need to see the end goal since that is going to keep you going. It is a process just like anything else, but as long as you keep going and don’t stop, you will eventually get to where you want to be.”

Digital transformation of electronic music

On the impact of technology on electronic music, Aadysi said, “It has changed it dramatically. It’s a whole different scene now, and that’s why I love it. Technology gives creators and musicians at home to do so much more than we were able to do 10 or 20 years ago. We can release everything independently, and we can live off our music comfortably.”

He shared that he utilizes Ableton, the software sequencer and digital audio workstation. “I use Ableton on my laptop to create music and to record everything. That’s what I use on a daily basis, and everything works from there. I work on it 10 to 12 hours every day now,” Aadysi said. “I love the flow of Ableton, and I have really stuck with it.”

Aadysi’s music is available on Soundcloud, Spotify and on iTunes.
