World renowned DJ and producer Oliver Heldens will make a free dive for cleaner oceans, as part of the campaign Mission Live Ocean.
The Dutch DJ and producer will make a free dive in October, where he will be under the supervision of freediving world record holder Nanja van den Broek. Heldens and the Mission Live Foundation are trying to raise attention of clean oceans without plastic soup.
At the bottom of his 40 meter dive, Heldens will enter an underwater studio, where he will stage the event "Dance from the Deep." This event will take place in the middle of October during Amsterdam Dance Event, and both of these events (the dive and the show) will be streamed online for a worldwide audience.
Heldens is an avid supporter of Mission Live Ocean, whose goal is raise awareness of cleaner oceans through campaigns and by raising funds. The superstar DJ remarked in a press statement, "I am very shocked by the scope of it, and I therefore would like to help to make this issue publicly known."
The Dutch DJ will go through a professional training program, under the supervision of Nanja van den Broek, who holds the world record in free diving. Dutch freediver Nanja van den Broek praised Heldens for his commitment to this cause in a press release.
