Darlene Love celebrates birthday with free show at Lincoln Center

Throughout her illustrious career in the entertainment scene, she has won a Grammy award, and was featured in the Oscar-winning documentary, 20 Feet From Stardom. She began recording as a background vocalist in the 60’s, and has been working consistently ever since. Love has worked with such iconic artists as Dionne Warwick, Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke and Bruce Springsteen, among many others. Her holiday tune, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” has become an annual staple during Christmastime. Rolling Stone has listed Love as one of its “100 Greatest Singers of All Time.” Love was inducted into the coveted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.

Most recently, she was featured in the Wall Street Journal, where she received several birthday shout-outs from fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Joan Jett and Elvis Costello.
