Dame Vera Lynn has a major milestone to be proud of in her personal life. She just turned 100 years old on March 20, 2017.
This special occasion coincided with the release of a new studio album in her honor.
Her new CD consists of of re-orchestrated versions of some of her most famous recordings. It was released on March 17, three days prior to the dame's birthday. It will also include a previously unreleased version of "Sailing," which was a surprise, since it was not widely known that she recorded the track.

Dame Vera Lynn will be joined by such British singers as Alfie Boe on her signature tune "We'll Meet Again," Alexander Armstrong on "White Cliffs of Dover" and Aled Jones on "As Time Goes By."
In June of 2016, she was made a Companion of Honour (CH) by Queen Elizabeth II.
