New York - Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, as well as Earth, Wind & Fire have announced their North American summer tour, "2054: The Tour."
This tour will travel across 20 cites in North America, and it kicks off on July 12 in Oakland, California. It is promoted by Live Nation, and it will take both multi-platinum-selling band to some of America's largest cities. On August 7, they will be performing at New York's Madison Square Garden, which is affectionately known as the "World's Most Famous Arena."
Most impressive about this tour is that it will feature a special guest DJ, and it will consist of a special seating configuration towards the stage, where the seats will have additional space between them, which will encourage their fans and audience members to dance the night away.
Earlier this month, Rodgers was inducted into the coveted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where he received an "Award for Musical Excellence," and rightfully so.
Philip Bailey, the co-founder of Earth, Wind & Fire, praised Nile Rodgers and Chic for being "legendary" performers due to their "iconic style," as well as their "song, sound and groove." "Get ready for a non-stop 2054 party!" Bailey exclaimed.
Rodgers returned the favor by saying some favorable remarks about co-headliners Earth, Wind & Fire in a press statement. "There was a time when we could only dream of 'seeing' Earth, Wind & Fire live, now we get the honor of sharing the stage together," Rodgers said.
